2016 Annual Breakfast Recap

2016 Annual "Celebrating a Community That Cares" Breakfast

Hundreds gathered on May 19, 2016, for our favorite event of the year!

Our Annual Breakfast looks back at the past year's fundraising and awareness campaign and the many reasons we have to celebrate as a community.  Thanks to all who joined us at Piper's Banquets in Aurora to do just that.

We love to honor our donors, volunteers, advocates and social service agencies.  They consistently demonstrate what it means to care for our neighbors in need!

TESTIMONIALS ARE ALWAYS A HIGHLIGHT
At the Annual Breakfast, we are always pleased to give individuals an opportunity to share their story of redemption and hope, thanks to your contributions to Fox Valley United Way.  As you know, your donations fund crucial social service agencies and special programs.  This year’s attendees were treated to two stories of changed lives, presented by Jeff, representing Hope for Tomorrow and Kim, representing Wayside Cross Ministries. To read more about their journey and how agencies funded by Fox Valley United Way helped forge a path for a brighter future, click here.

STRIKE UP THE BAND!
Exelon/ComEd has been supporting the United Way since 1943, but did you know that 20 years ago it formed a band to support their organization’s Fox Valley United Way fundraising campaign?  The band is comprised of Exelon/ComEd management team and IBEW Local 15 members.  For years, they have been the centerpiece of entertainment at our Annual Breakfast.  A hearty thank you to one and all for your time, effort and talent!
