ReadyNation News Conference

A news event to release a new report demonstrating that the lack of sufficient child care in Illinois costs our state's economy nearly $2.5 billion every year in lost family earnings, employer productivity, etc. And that's just related to infant/toddler care; the costs associated with care for kids 5 and older would add even more to that price tag. This report is an Illinois-specific version of a national report that ReadyNation released last year, showing the entire country loses $57 billion a year due to the child care crisis.

ReadyNation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan network of business leaders who argue for greater public investments in kids' well-being (via child care, preK, home-visiting programs, etc) because of their research-proven value for stabilizing our current workforce and laying a skills-building foundation for the workforce of the future.  Speakers to include:

Sean Noble - ReadyNation
Trish Rooney - SPARK, Governor's Early Childhood Funding Commission
Jessica Linder Gallo - Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce
Paula Schmidt - Geneva Chamber of Commerce
TBD - One Hope United
