Mobilizing for Survivors
Recently, Fox Valley United Way received a call from the skincare company Clearstem, offering a donation of more than 2,700 individual bottles of sunscreen. Our task: mobilizing our network to get the sunscreen exactly where it was needed.
Community partner and Fox Valley United Way friend, Norma Peterson, a Domestic Violence advocate and speaker, collected the sunscreen and personally distributed it to local pantries and domestic violence shelters. Even small gestures of brightness have the power to bring us all together as a community. Thank you, Norma and Clearstem!
