Fox Valley United Way values your privacy. We recognize that visitors to our website may have concerns about their personal security and privacy. Fox Valley United Way values and protects your privacy and places strict controls on the gathering and use of personally identifiable data. Your personal data is never collected by our website. The personally identifiable information we collect from individuals is only the information provided to us voluntarily and knowingly; we do not require you to register or provide information to us in order to visit the public portion of our site.

 

Fox Valley United Way will only collect identifiable data when voluntarily submitted by a visitor.  For example, to make a donation through our website, the visitor may need to provide information relevant to how they choose to donate in order to execute the transaction of the contribution.  This information is used solely by Fox Valley United Way for the purpose of the transaction.  Your personal information is not disclosed, made available or otherwise used for purposes other than those specified at the time of collection, except with the visitor's consent or as authorized by law or regulation. If a visitor supplies their email address, we may contact the visitor for additional information or send updates about how donations are being put to use in our community, such as our Friday Five Newsletters. The visitor can contact us to restrict our use of their contact information at any time. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Fox Valley United Way lists are never sold to third parties.

 

In partnership with Old Second National Bank, Fox Valley United Way utilizes Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems to monitor and block suspicious network activity.  Access to donor files is only available to staff who have signed a confidentiality agreement and utilize multi-factor authentication methods to log in.  Regular back up of data is conducted by the instruction standards of Old Second National Bank Information Technologies department.  Routine software updates are conducted to keep systems from being susceptible to known vulnerabilities.
